HUNDREDS OF CLIENTS TRAINED

WELCOME!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my website! My name is Doug Brown, and I'm a Certified Personal Trainer through The National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Working with a personal trainer sets you on a path that is about more than just aesthetics. It's about feeling comfortable in your own skin, developing healthier habits that last, and feeling confident and comfortable in your clothes - even the old ones!

There's far more to life than just the 'gym,' and feeling better can spread to other areas of your life. Your relationships, work life and more can all get a boost from feeling better. It begins with something as simple as searching for a trainer, and can have lasting effects through improved habits.

You'll be training at my private training facility, avoiding the normal "gym scene" that can too often be judgmental and overcrowded.

To make it even better, there are no initiation or membership fees. Personal training is absolutely worth it when it delivers a feeling of increased confidence, increased mobility, a sense of accomplishment and many others.

We'll develop a strong connection which, in turn, will help you get better, more efficient results. I 100% believe that creating a "friend" environment is the best way to build a relationship and help you get the results you're looking for.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

  • Results are not always quantifiable.
Naturally, most clients - if not all - want a particular physical result - i.e. lose 20 pounds. This is the tangible result that you can see in the mirror or when you wear certain clothes. However, another result of those physical changes is the confidence, energy, and more positive outlook on life that cannot be ignored. Physical results without these wouldn't mean as much. Whatever your tangible goals are, they likely stem from what you consider to be intangible shortcomings, and getting the full spectrum of results does matter, and in fact are a byproduct of achieving the physical results. Personal training is just as much an emotional investment as it is physical.
  • A good trainer listens.
A "good" training session involves more than just a good workout. More often than not, your personal trainer doesn't know your spouse, boss or friends. Many clients, as part of their "results," feel better when they can vent frustrations, ask for advice or reveal information they otherwise wouldn't to those closest to them. Your relationship with me is "privileged," to use a legal term, and that trust is a key component to your results. When you're finished with a session, you should feel better than when you walked in.
  • What you pay for.
When you purchase training sessions, it's important to recognize what you are buying - and it isn't just my time or expertise. The value is in the result you're looking to achieve and what achieving that result is worth to you. It's your decision to value that result as you see fit. I make every effort to make my training as affordable as possible, so you can achieve the desired result for the lowest cost I can provide. I offer several ways to train with me, so I have no doubt I will be able to help you achieve your goals without breaking the bank.
  • Life should be more fun, not less.
Seeing a personal trainer does NOT mean you have to give up the foods or things you love. It's about how to hold yourself accountable and be responsible for the decisions you're making, not avoiding them entirely. While that may work for some, it doesn't for most - myself included. Just because I'm a trainer does not mean I do everything perfectly. Nobody, and I do mean nobody, will ever convince me to give up chicken tenders and beer, a good slice of pie or pizza. Being responsible about it is the key, and I can help with it. The bottom line is life is meant to be enjoyed, and everyone has their unique perspective of what that means to them.
  • Results aren't all or nothing.
Not everyone has the desire to be the next Instagram model. The vast majority of people just want to feel better and look better, and that's among all personal training clients. Personal training isn't just for the elite athlete or wealthy, and when you define the result you wish to have in an honest, realistic way, you're much more likely to achieve them. This also means that not everyone is looking for or even needing an "As Seen On TV" transformation. Whether it's 10 pounds, 100 or anything else, it's entirely up to you - and I'll help you get it.
  • The quality of a session is more important than its duration.
You have a life outside of the gym. Work, kids, spouse, friends - they depend on you being there. A common misconception is that in order to get results, you have to be in the gym 6 days per week, 2 hours a day with an endless amount of cardio. Nonsense. A "good" session is defined by its effectiveness, not duration. For most, they want to get in, work hard, then be on their way to do the things they want with the people they love, and that's how it should be.
  • No pressure.
The process is simple: First, I'll provide a free session so you can get an idea of what training with me is like without any financial barrier. Then, you'll have ample time to share your past experiences with me, tell me what your goals are, and I will share all of the options I offer to you. Throughout the process, it is entirely up to you if you want to continue. My promise to you is to demonstrate empathy, professionalism and privacy, no matter what you choose to do moving forward.
